MEC Innovation has developed many products for outdoor and cold weather applications. Though the designs may vary based on our customers' specific requirements, these products typically have similar environmental requirements. We have done a broad range of electronic controllers for use in backup power generation and refrigeration systems, and a wide variety of controls built for heavy-duty applications in the construction market (cranes, mine shovels, power trowels, compactors, heavy-duty electric hand tools). Many of these products are protected by an environmental coating of insulation on our conformal coating lines, or encapsulated in potting compound for added protection. A temperature range extending beyond -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F) would need to be evaluated based on product requirements.
